Granite is the hardest building stone, and granite slabs and granite tiles occupy a prominent place among dimensional stones. Due to its hardness, resistance to weathering, capability to take mirror polish, fascinating colors and textural patterns, we use it to make some special live fountain like ball fountains, pillar fountains, etc.
Marble has always been highly valued for its beauty, strength, and resistance to fire and erosion. Very pure calcite marble is used for most statues. They are translucent. We use marble to make carving, panels, washbasins, flower vases, etc.
Sandstone is a sedimentary rock group which is mostly made up of tiny grains of quartz. Physically, they are very Hard, Compact, Fine grained, equi-granular homogeneous rocks of sedimentary nature. So we use it to make stationary fountains & artifacts like dome waterfall fountain, dome, pillars & columns, carvings & wall panels, etc.
Mostly we use mild steel & stainless steel for their particular qualities. We use metal for some decorative & meaningful purposes in fountains. We also use metal for making school & office furniture which are raw & highly durably in design.
Wood is one of the oldest materials used by humans & still finds its utility to add elegance to the looks of any artifacts. We don't use wood in our fountains but although have managed to carve a piece of art which is 100% functional and handcrafted. Wooden Sunglasses. Please check the link below www.thewoodeye.com.
